War Eagles Air Museum

War Eagles Air Museum features one of the largest collections of historic military and civilian aircraft, classic automobiles, and aviation and automotive artifacts in the Southwest. Many of the 36 World War II, Korean War and Vietnam-era aircraft on display are of great historical significance. Inside the huge exhibit hanger you’ll take a trip back in time as you stroll among the professionally restored American, British, German and Soviet aircraft. We maintain many of them in flyable condition. If you’re lucky, you may see and hear an engine run-up or a test flight.

Wayne County Historical Museum

Our museum is a unique showcase of Wayne County and world culture. Our founder, Julia Meek Gaar brought back items from her many world excursions to share with the children of Wayne County. From an Egyptian Mummy to cultural objects from Europe, Japan, and the Middle East and beyond, Your Wayne County Historical Museum can transport you to many times and places. As the museum’s first director, Mrs. Gaar collected objects that interpreted the vast history of Wayne County, and made important connections between Wayne County and the world at large.

William E. Swigart Automobile Museum

The William E. Swigart, Jr. collection, believed to be the oldest in the United States, represents over a century of automotive history. Recognizing that old cars were often dismantled so that their parts could be used to create or repair some other machine, W. Emmert Swigart began to collect and display old cars as an extension of his insurance business in the early 1920s. After his death in 1949 his son, William E. Swigart, Jr., expanded the collection and constructed the museum facility to share his passion with the public.
