Julita Farm is a larger manor house located in western Södermanland next to Lake Öljaren. Since 1944 the farm is owned and operated as a museum of the Nordic Museum. The estate was awarded to the Nordic Museum by the last private owner, Arthur Bäckström. The donation included a large part of the existing property and today comprises about 2200 hectares of land which includes a lot of buildings and a well-preserved manor complex. Here you will find stables and caravans, lots of old agricultural artifacts. There are plenty of tractors and two cars shown, an early Opel and a Packard converted to a fire engine.
