Newburn Hall Motor Museum

Built in 1924 for the Territorial Army on land purchased from the Duke if Northumberland, the building was used as a T.A. centre for 50 years before it was sold to Northumberland Boys club. The boys club vacated the premises in 1977. The building became a utopia for scrap collectors and vandals until it was acquired in 1979 to be rebuilt as a motor museum. Restored and refurbished the museum offers a complete service for the day visitor to the most enthusiastic car collector.

Moretonhampstead Motor Museum

Moretonhampstead Motor Museum is home to a collection of over 135 vintage and classic vehicles, including pre-1920s to the 1990s. Run by local motoring enthusiast Frank Loft, the museum is housed in a newly refurbished bus depot in Moretonhampstead, Devon. The collection is complemented by motoring artefacts and automobilia - you can also visit the viewable restoration workshop.

Isle of Man Motor Museum

Situated on the former RAF Jurby in the sunny north of the Isle of Man, the privately funded Isle of Man Motor Museum was purpose designed and houses over 400 vehicles. Opened in May 2015, it has become a petrolhead’s paradise with something for everyone to enjoy. Starting with the 1904 Gordon Bennett Trials, the Isle of Man occupies a unique place in both motoring and motorsports heritage. Every year, TT riders take on the fearsome 37.73 mile Mountain Course now averaging well over 130mph.

A.R.E. Classic Motorcycle Collection

Located in Kirk Michael on the west coast of the Island this is an exemplary private collection of vintage motorcycles. The collection includes over 100 motorcycles – many rare and valuable – with names including Triumph, AMC, BSA, Vincent and Moto Guzzi to name just a few. There is a particular focus on machines from the 1930s and all machines are kept running and in pristine condition. Additionally there are usually a few bikes undergoing restoration to bring them back to their former glory.

Army Museum

The Alcázar, a military academy in the 18th and 19th centuries, and a notorious symbol of nationalism in the Spanish Civil Wars, has since 2010 has been the site of Spain’s army museum, an amalgamation of several institutions. It has a huge collection, totalling more than 35,000 items including knives, swords, firearms, artillery pieces, flags, uniforms and medals. It includes leather shields and breech-loading shotguns used by the army.
