Motorcycle Museum of Iceland
The Icelandic Motorcycle Museum documents the 100-year history of the motorcycle in Iceland in an 800m2 building specifically built for the purpose. Its origin can be traced to the tragic death of Heiðar Þ. Jónsson in 2007, who left behind him his vast collection of bikes and assorted motorbike accessories. The museum details the history of the motorcycle through important bikes and stories of colourful characters and is a must-visit location for all motorbike enthusiasts.
Vintage Auto Museum Iceland
A private museum displaying over 100 cars and motorcycles which was set up by Gunnar Kr. Þórðarson and Sólveig Jónasdóttir. Gunnar was educated as a master car mechanic and Sólveig was a primary school teacher. Following Gunnar's death in 2019, his sons now run the museum.
Ystafell Transportation Museum
The Transportation Museum at Ystafell is the oldest car museum in Iceland and has one of the largest collections of cars in the country. It also features many other types of vehicles and plenty of antique treasures to discover.
