Museums in Italy

The Historic Center of the Department for Transport was born as an exhibition of some vehicles characteristic of the evolution of Italian motorization. Over the years it has been enriched with historical and documentary finds that cover the entire transport sector that the department deals with: official documents and most representative cars of Italian history and production.

A fire museum which features, among others, fire engines, motorcycles, bikes, hand pumps and many other artifacts related to the history of fire fighting.

This Museum was founded in 1955 to start collecting "all the technical, historical and sporting material of the Military motorization, in any case in the possession of the various Army Bodies and Departments".

The Piana delle Orme Museum can be found in Latina, Italy. Two pavilions of the museum park are entirely devoted to the display of military vehicles from the Second World War. Dioramas depict, among other things, how Italy became involved in the war, the course of the North African campaigns, the amphibian landing of the allied troops near Anzio and the battle for Monte Cassino.

One of the most complete Modeling and Miniatures Museum in the world, with over 450 square meters of exhibition space. The museum is organized in thematic rooms dedicated to the world of trains, civil and military vehicles, planes, naval vehicles, uniformology, toy soldiers and a series of dioramas that reproduce corners of Ferrara from the Este period. Among the main attractions in our museum we can undoubtedly remember a large functioning railway model and the largest collection of speed- record cars visible to the public

Housed in an ex-school built in Neo- Renaissance style in 1922, the Museum focuses on the places and protagonists (both individually and collectively) of the epochal transformations in the territory of the Idice Valley. The Museum also holds temporary exhibitions dedicated to the main innovations of the 20th Century and to the relevant social and economic dynamics in the territory: from mass-communication, in particular the radio, to transport, from the moped to the scooter.

A mongst the grand buildings decorating the charming town of Castiglione delle Stiviere, in the province of Mantua (10 km from Lake Garda), there is a palace which recalls one of the most significant pages in the history of human solidarity and international human rights.

t is a private museum that collects Italian and non-Italian motorcycles from the 1950s to the 1990s, with racing, cross, trial and touring models, but also models for everyday use such as Vespas or Lambrettas.

More than 50 vehicles, armored vehicles, planes, motorcycles, bicycles, and large naval models forms the collection of military vehicles in this museum. Additionally there are bicycles, sledges and cannons.
