Fire Museum Hattingen
This is the only museum of its type in the Ruhr region and is among the largest fire brigade museums in Germany. Especially impressive is the collection of turntable ladder vehicles, fire trucks and ambulances from bygone days. The oldest vehicle, a heavy brigade truck of the model Klöckner-Humbold-Deutz, was manufactured in 1942, and the newest "treasure," a turntable ladder IFA DL 30 from the GDR's inventory, in 1986.

On a 1.200 square meter space you will find many interesting exhibits from fire fighting vehicles to fire brigade equipment.

Fire Museum Lorsch
The Losch Volunteer Fire Brigade Association (Freiwillige Feuerwehr Lorsch e.V.) collects old vehicles, equipment and devices and displays those on a 600 sqm site.
Fire Museum Marxen
As part of the Open Air Museum Kiekeberg, the local firefighting museum has been in operation since 1987. On a space of about 750 sqm, fire engines and other equipment are being exhibited.
