Museums in Sweden

The museum is divided into a total of 600 square meters on two floors with environments and stands made up of recycled material. The unique road history collections, which are managed by the state-owned Maritime and Transport Museum are stored at a former road station in Kjula outside Eskilstuna. The road history collections consist of hundreds of machines and vehicles from the entire 1900s, along with thousands of objects of different sizes and designs, all of which are linked to road history.

The Saab Car Museum collections comprise around 120 cars and approximately 70 of them are on show. The first one was the Saab 92001, which is more commonly known as ”Ursaaben” from 1947. It has a distinct aerodynamic shape signed by Sixten Sason. Most of the cars have their history in the company after being produced and they are divided into different categories, for example prototypes, test cars, official, company cars, racing cars etc. The Saab Car Museum contains many milestones concerning the 4.4 million or so cars that have been produced over the years.

Here are over 50 motorcycles and about 20 scooters from all over the world. Also an exhibition with utensils and handicraft shops with Sami crafts and a Nordic cafe and food service with overnight stay.

The museum houses 60 unique scooters from around the world, and chiefly from the true home of the scooter – Italy.

Sparreholm Manor is located on a peninsula on Lake Båven north of Sparreholm, right in the middle of Sörmland. One of the country's most majestic avenues leads up to the house. The manor house is now a private residence and not open to the public, although two museums in the park can be visited. The museums are beautifully situated in the park. The Motor Car Museum was opened in 1998 in a new 18th century style building. "Our car museum shows the automotive development from the late 1800s to the present day and includes one of Europe's finest car collections.

Stig Carlsson's collection includes antique radios, stationary engines, old phones, about 40 motorcycles and much more.
