Fire Museum Schwäbisch Hall
This Fire Museum has 2 locations. The main office is located on the edge of Schwäbisch Hall and the downtown branch of the Museum can be found on the site of the outdoor museum Wackershofen. A comprehensive overview of in short the history of firefighting can be found at the Museum in Schwäbisch Hall. This listed building provides the perfect ambience for the approximately 6,000 exhibits at the big 1,600 m2 of exhibition space. From medieval fighting buckets of straw or linen to many hand-and horse-drawn pumps of different ages, the exhibition offers everything for young and old visitors. Not to mention the extensive collection of over 600 fire helmets from all over the world. There are one or two cars as well, but mostly, the motorised section is located at the outdoor museum.
Opening times: every 1st and 3rd Sunday: 11 AM to 4 PM
