Classic Cars: Auctionata To Auction Classic Cars Online For the First Time

BERLIN, Germany -- 7 November, 2014: Berlin-based online auction house Auctionata is set to present its first auction of classic cars. On November 28, 2014 at 6 pm CET, the ‘Classic Cars’ auction will bring a selection of 40 automobiles under the hammer. The cars on offer range from everyday vehicles to exclusive collector’s cars never before seen at auction. With cars made between the early twenties and the late nineties, the auction will present bidders with a cross section of nearly 80 years of automotive history.

One of the auction highlights is a 1928 Riley Brooklands, one of the first models to be built by Thompson & Taylor and used by their racing team for two years. This original Works Competition Riley Brooklands won the Index of Performance in 2010 at the Le Mans Classic and will enter the auction with an estimated value of €220,000.

Look forward to rarities such as a VW T1 23 Window Barndoor Samba DeLuxe from 1955, with an estimated value of €250,000, a 1920 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost Alpine Eagle, estimated at €380,000, and a 1934 Riley TT Sprite Special, valued at €100,000.

The auction will also feature unique collector’s cars, including a 1976 Porsche 911S with 7,774 miles on the clock, a 1970 Dodge Challenger Special Edition, and a VW T1 13 Window in untouched original condition. Additionally, the auction will include a number of everyday classics, such as a Mercedes Benz 230 SL Pagode Cabrio, a BMW 2002 and VW Scirocco with just one previous owner, a Fiat 500 from a former rally car constructor, and a Jaguar XK140 fixed head coupe.

With its first live stream auction of classic cars, Auctionata will offer fans of classic automobiles a unique opportunity to bid along worldwide. Jutta Kleinschmidt, one of the world’s most prominent female rally drivers, will be on hand during the live auction to support proceedings with her expertise.
