Summer, 2014 - starting again!

Over the last two years automuseums.info saw little development. We had an average of 3,000 visitors a month. It is not that bad, but this should be much higher.

Back in 2012, I was enthusiastic. I put together a nice development plan, with plenty of exciting new features. As this site is a labour of love, I was not able to allocate a lot of money to make this dream come true. I had to change developer team four times! The one before the last one did his best, but the end result was terrible. And the last one patched things up, but it was still not working normally.
I became disillusioned and lost interest in the site. But it was not that easy to let my guide to international motoring museums go. You see, the first version of this guide was created in 1996.

In 2013 became a distance learning PhD student at the University of Leicester, School of Museum Studies. And you know what? My thesis will be about motoring museums! And eventually my brother, who's one of the best Drupal experts came lent a helping hand and ironed out the bugs in the site.

So the site is working normally again. I don't know what the future holds. I have yet to see whether my 2012 development goals can be achieved. But I am making small updates again. And I am optimistic again.

In the meantime, I have created a new site, <A HREF="http://www.ceautoclassic.eu/">ceautoclassic.eu</A&gt; which focuses on the Central European classic car scene with an events' calendar, blog, museums' guide and a webshop. Make sure to check it out!

And if you plan a holiday with visits to motoring museums, automuseums.info - the Motoring Museums' Lighthouse is still the best place to start!

Thanks for your attention.
