Savoy Automobile Museum’s New Temporary Exhibit Dedicated to Chrysler Letter Cars
New Exhibit Opening at the Savoy Automobile Museum: Chrysler Letter Cars will be on display May 5, 2026 – August 30, 2026. Chrysler had a run of 10 years building high-performance luxury cars known as the Letter Cars. The exhibit will feature a mix of these incredibly designed vehicles. Chrysler Corporation stunned the high-performance auto world in 1955 with the introduction of the Chrysler C-300, a sleek, race-bred coupe for the road. No one offered anything like it. The C-300 was Chrysler’s answer to the Chevrolet Corvette and the Ford Thunderbird. But it was bigger and much more powerful.
MAuto Opens New Spazio Design Installation
Twelve Automobiles - One Story is the theme of the new Spazio Design installation at MAuto, Museo Nazionale dell’Automobile, Turin. It is curated by Paolo Tumminelli. 12 automobiles, arranged into 6 thematic islands, trace over half a century of car design: from the Volkswagen Beetle (1952) to the New Beetle (2000), from the Porsche 356 SC (1964) to the BMW Neue Klasse 1800 (1968), up to the Lancia Megagamma (1978) and the Mazda Miata (1991). A circular journey where beginning and end reflect one another, bringing together icons, prototypes and visions that have transformed the way we design — and imagine — the automobile.

German Motorcycle Museum Prepares for New Exhibition: “Made in Japan“
The German Motorcycle and NSU Museum is working full steam ahead on their next special exhibition, Made in Japan; Part I, 1980-1995 – Dominance of the Big Four. It opens on June 2nd with motorcycles from the 1970s to the 1990s, an era in which Japanese manufacturers shaped the global market with technical innovations and outstanding reliability. On display will be street and racing motorcycles of the highest significance, some of which are directly available from the museum's own collection, while others have already been requested from lenders.

movies, racing, and American culture. Featured in ESPN’s The Last Dance, this 40th Anniversary ZR-1 represents peak Corvette performance from the early 1990s, packing 405 horsepower from its legendary LT5 engine.
Uniqe Maserati V4 Sport Zagato Arrives at Maserati Umberto Panini Collection
The undisputed queen of the Anantara Concours d'Elegance, the Maserati V4 Sport Zagato – known to all as the "Sixteen Cylinders" –
is a legend that blends extreme engineering and extraordinary stories. Powered by a four-liter engine created by combining two straight-eight engines derived from the Tipo 26B, it has written epic chapters in history, including the 10 km world record in Cremona in 1929 with Mario Umberto Borzacchini at the wheel. The car, which won the award in Rome, is now temporarily on display at the Maserati Umberto Panini Collection.
Iconic Tasman Bridge Holden Monaro HQ GTS Now on Display at NAMT
The iconic Tasman Bridge 1974 Holden Monaro HQ GTS is currently on display at the National Automobile Museum of Tasmania. The Holden Monaro was produced between 1968 and 1977 and later between 2001 and 2005. Since its 1968 debut, three generations of the Monaro have been produced. The car on display was involved in the Tasman Bridge disaster on the evening of 5th January 1975 in Hobart, when a bulk ore carrier travelling up the Derwent River collided with several pylons of the Tasman Bridge.
Saab Car Museum Moves To The Box
Saab Car Museum is moving to a temporary location, while its roof is being fixed. On 6 June, 2026 the doors will open to The Box, which is inside the Nova Arena, nar the museum. This will mark the beginning of a very exciting exhibition where Saab Car Museum will showcase more cars at one time than ever before!
British Motor Museum To Receive Funding to Improve Accessibility to Arts and Culture
he British Motor Museum is one of 24 museums that have received a share of £4 million through the DCMS/Wolfson Museums and Galleries Improvement Fund 2025-27.
£147,700 has been allocated to the British Motor Museum which will be used to develop and deliver Grasping the Image: digital accessibility to heritage images - a project that will enhance accessibility to heritage photographs held in the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust (BMIHT) Archive. The project will run from Spring 2026 to early 2027
Whitewebbs Museum of Transport Becomes Affiliate of BMCT
The Whitewebbs Museum of Transport has announced that they are now affiliated to the British Motorcycle Charitable Trust, an educational charity helping museum visitors discover Britain's motorcycle engineering heritage. The museum will be working with the BMCT to have classic bikes on loan, the first of which will be a 1928 Humber. As an affiliate, it is able to offer BMCT members a 50% reduction on admission to the museum on production of your membership card, applies to cardholder only.
