World Forum for Motor Museums 2026: Call For Speakers
The World Forum for Motor Museums invites proposals for presentations at the 2026 edition of WFFMM, taking place from 19–23 October 2026 at the Schlumpf Collection / Cité de l’Automobile in Mulhouse, France. The Forum is a biennial international meeting for motor museum professionals, principals, owners, collectors, curators, historians, conservators, and automotive heritage specialists. Under the theme “Driving New Perspectives – The Future of Motor Museums,” WFFMM 2026 will bring together the global automotive museum community to exchange ideas, share practical experience, and explore the challenges and opportunities shaping the next generation of motor museums.

British Motor Museum Brings 80s and 90s Hot Hatch Culture to Life in New Exhibition
The British Motor Museum invites visitors to return to the golden era of hot hatches in their new exhibition: ‘Spoiler Alert: The Hot Hatch Story’, celebrating these everyday road heroes. Inspired by the energetic atmosphere of car meets and the bold visuals of era-defining car magazines, the exhibition immerses visitors in the 80s and 90s hot hatch culture in a space brimming with nostalgia. ‘Spoiler Alert’, which opened on 20 June, will run until 21 February 2027 in The Rubery Owen Gallery.
Prince’s Car Collection unveils Summer Exhibition: “From Yesterday to Today”
This summer, the Prince of Monaco's Car Collection museum is inviting the public to discover an exhibition dedicated to the evolution of the automobile, from generation to generation. “From Yesterday to Today” will be presented from 22 June to 13 September 2026, in the Collection's mezzanine space. The exhibition will juxtapose classic models that have marked automobile history with their newer versions. Through a selection of iconic models, visitors will be able to compare and contrast how cars from specific manufacturers have evolved over the decades. The exhibition will feature sixteen cars displayed side-by-side. A Ferrari F40 will be showcased with a Ferrari F80, a Mercedes CLK GTR with a Mercedes AMG Project ONE, a Bugatti EB110 with a Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport, a Ferrari 275 GTB with a Ferrari 812 Competizione, a Ford GT40 with a Ford GT and so on.

National Motor Museum Engineers Restore World Land Speed Record Breaker Sunbeam 1000hp
The World Land Speed Record breaker Sunbeam 1000hp has been successfully restored by National Motor Museum engineers. With two V12 aero engines front and back the vehicle is a real beast – the car was the first to exceed 200mph driven by Henry Segrave on the 29 March 1927. The countdown is now on to its planned 100th anniversary run at Daytona Beach in Florida, but first it will make its post-restoration debut at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance on the west coast of the USA this August.
Lamborghini Miura P400 Arrives at Petersen Automotive Museum

When Lamborghini unveiled the Miura P400 in 1966, it changed automotive design forever. With its revolutionary mid-engine layout, breathtaking Bertone_official styling, and a top speed of 171 mph, the Miura became one of the fastest production cars in the worldand – and the blueprint for generations of super cars to come.
TamteLata Museum Welcomes Citroën D Super to Its Collection
A new Citroën D Super has recently arrived at the TamteLata Museum in Poland. Citroën replaced the ID by the D Spécial and D Super in 1970, but these retained the lower specification position in the range. The D Super was available with the DS21 2175 cc engine and a 5-speed gearbox, and named the D Super 5.

This valuable contribution enriches the museum's collection and helps to preserve automotive history.
Historic Attractions’ 12,000 sq ft Expansion Progressing Well
As work on the outside of Historic Attractions' new expansion gets closer to completion, the work on the inside can start. Everyday crews are working to get the new addition finished. Plumbing is getting worked in, electrical is getting started and walls are getting insulated. This will be an additional 12,000 sq ft to journey through, making Historic Attractions a 98,000 sq ft museum.
Alfa Romeo Museum Celebrates 50th Anniversary
On 22 June the Alfa Romeo Museum celebrated its 50th anniversary. Fully refurbished and reopened to the public in 2015, the Alfa Romeo Museum in Arese represents the heart of the brand's memory. The permanent exhibition is spread over three thematic levels – Timeline, Beauty and Speed – and houses 70 pieces that have marked out the brand’s history: from the first A.L.F.A. 24 HP to Juan Manuel Fangio's Formula 1 cars, via the legendary Mille Miglia and the epic Autodelta. Also open to the public were spaces focusing on aeronautical production, the historic collaboration with the Carabinieri and, since 2020, the Collection area, where over 200 cars not on display are kept, together with engines, prototypes, trophies, models and archive materials.
London Transport Museum Reveals Plans for 2030 Transformation
London Transport Museum has revealed plans for a transformation of its Covent Garden home, set to be complete by 2030, and resulting in a 20% boost to visitor numbers. While budget and funding sources have yet to be announced, the museum has said the project will include a new entrance opening directly onto Covent Garden Piazza, and an extra 500 square metres of space for improved galleries and learning experiences. It also plans to add new interactive galleries and learning programmes.

The 1955 Debonnaire – A Tucker Designer’s Venture Creating a New American Sports Car
Our Friend, Paul Sable is ready to say goodbye to yet another of his unique cars. This is a 1955 Debonnaire, designed by Philipp Egan, one of the designers responsible for the Tucker. It debuted in the July, 1955 issue of Motor Trend. This fibreglass bodied sportscar was dubbed the "American Boulevard Sports Car". Ultimately only six examples were built and this is the first one restored. It sports a 1956 Lincoln Continental engine, front disc brakes and outstanding coral and cream colors. Following its top-quality restoration with over $150,000 spent it was shown at the 2023 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance and the 2024 Amelia Concours. Price: $65,000 or best offer.
