Tellus is a world-class 120,000 square foot museum located in Cartersville, GA just off I-75 at exit 293. The museum’s exhibits open minds and ignite a passion for science. Tellus features four main galleries: The Weinman Mineral Gallery, The Fossil Gallery, Science in Motion and The Collins Family My Big Backyard. From Kitty Hawk, North Carolina to the Moon, the Millar Science in Motion Gallery will propel visitors through 100 years of changes in transportation technology. Take a ride through history and discover the early changes in automobile manufacturing featuring electric, steam and gasoline-powered cars. Vintage vehicles like the 1896 Ford Quadricycle (replica) and the 1886 Benz Patent Motorwagen (replica) display the progress that moved the automobile industry forward at the start of the 20th century.
