On 30 April, 2025 the former Abarth Works Museum has been reopened under the new name, Squadra Abarth & Rally Collection. The brainchild of Guy Moerenhout, a former Abarth racer the museum brings together one of the largest collections of Abarth and rally cars in Europe, featuring over 175 historic (rally) vehicles. At Squadra, it’s not just about showcasing cars, it’s about keeping the engineering and craftsmanship behind them alive. The workshop plays a central role in this mission, where restoration and maintenance go hand in hand with the preservation of automotive heritage.

The exhibition ‘Citroën DS – An Icon Turns 70’, on display until 29 June, is a unique opportunity to delve into the world of this masterpiece of automotive engineering and design, which made history with its technological advances, elegance and boldness. ‌ Come and admire a unique collection featuring almost every model, from the first ID19 to the DS Chaperon cabriolet and the DS23 Pallas. In addition to these production cars, discover the impressive DS Volante and DS Totem, brought together especially for Autoworld.

The latest exhibition at the Central Garage museum in Bad Homburg focuses on Ernst Neumann Neander, a German artist, designer and racer. The exhibition “Ernst Neumann Neander - A life between art and technology” shows a selection of original Neander motorcycles, rare exhibits of the bikes, historical photographs as well as artistic works and documents of the versatile visionary. It sheds light on a life between the poles of creativity, pioneering spirit and non-conformity - a fascinating look at a man who was far ahead of his time.

From the 24th May until 2nd November 2025 a new special display at the Museum will mark 75 years since the inaugural Formula 1 World Drivers’ Championship in 1950. The temporary exhibition will bring together nine iconic Formula 1 racing cars, including cars from World Championship winning teams such as BRM, Lotus, Williams and Ferrari. Each vehicle represents a decade of technical and sporting development in Formula 1’s illustrious history – as well as some of its most legendary drivers.

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the Showa Era in Japan. For this special occassion the Motorcar Museum of Japan put together a special exhibition with cars from the museum's collection. There is one vehicle for each decade, such as a Ford Model T, a Prince Skyline 2000GT-B  from 1965, an Isuzu 117 Coupe XT from 1975 and more.

Fun-Cars - The Car on the Beach exhibition has been opened at Automuseum Melle in Melle.

The National Motor Racing Museum in Bathurst, Australia has a new special exhibition featuring some of the most iconic, and infamous race cars to carry the Nissan badge including the first R35 GT-R to enter the country, one of four R88C Group C racing cars, a HR31 Skyline GTS-R which participated at the 1989 Bathurst 1000 race, an Altima Supercar and more.

The Museum of American Speed in Lincoln, Nebraska, recently celebrated the opening of the Unser and Herzog galleries in its newly expanded facility. The new addition to space allowed the museum to add enhanced displays for NASCAR, off-road racing and grow the museum's already established land-speed, drag-racing and custom show-car displays.

As part of the 𝗨𝗟𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗟𝗘𝗚𝗚𝗘𝗥𝗔 - 𝗔 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗝𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼 𝗚𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗶 𝗕𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗜𝘁𝗮𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗤𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗿 exhibition, which was born out of a collaboration with Qatar Auto Museum (QAM) and Virginia Commonwealth School of the Arts in Qatar (VCUarts), the Museum is offering a Summer School designed together with Studio Marcello Gandini and Politecnico di Torino with the aim of exploring the connections between innovation, aesthetics and mobility. 

Tsvetan Atanasov, a Bulgarian businessman realised his dream 10 years ago - on 1 May, his car museum was opened in Varna. Today the collection of over 50 cars is located within the Grand Mall. It offers a fascinating glimpse into life under socialism from 1944 to 1989 through its diverse collection of artifacts such Bulgarian unfiltered cigarettes, Russian vacuum cleaners, East German household goods, Polish cosmetics, and iconic cars from the former COMECON bloc.

It’s not rare for private collections, single-marque hoards and retired heritage fleet cars to come up for sale, but it’s not often that an entire museum’s worth of vehicles goes under the hammer.  But that’s exactly what is happening at the Moretonhampstead Motor Museum in Devon, UK, which closed its doors in November 2024. The two-day sale, hosted by Charterhouse Auctioneers, will begin on 15 May 2025 with the museum’s collection of ’bikes and automobilia, before 50-plus cars cross the block on 16 May.

The Ohio History Center in Columbus recently added a new historic vehicle to its transportation gallery: an Ohio Bell Telephone repair truck built by Cleveland’s White Motor Company in 1919.

A local collector, David Caines decided to downsize his collection and donated 1954 Austin FX3 Taxi to the Museum. The crafsmanship he has put in to the car shows his passion for them. 

For the first time eve the Reims Champagne Automobile Museum can show its visitors a post-war Buick, a 1954 Special. It is equipped with an 8-cylinder engine and manual transmission.

Maurice Klaassens (54) will be the new Manager of the DAF Museum in Eindhoven as of 1 June. He will succeed Joost van den Bosch, who is handing over the baton after 9 years and is retiring. “In my current position at DAF, I have visited the DAF Museum with students and representatives of educational institutions on many occasions,” says Maurice Klaassens. “A professional organisation with around 200 volunteers. With around 60,000 visitors per year, the DAF Museum is one of the most popular museums in Eindhoven and the surrounding area, and I look forward to contributing to further expanding its success.”
