Automuseum Prototyp Opens New Special Porsche Exhibition
On July 23rd, Automuseum Prototyp opened its new Porsche special exhibition „Mission: Future Heritage“ for its visitors. Until September 7th, the museum in Hamburg will present selected vehicles that show that the past is the driving force for the future.
New Petersen Exhibition Higlights Wedge-Shaped Cars
A new exhibit at the Petersen Automotive Museum is paying homage to all things too triangular to be square. All but one of the cars on display dates from the mid-1960s until the late 1970s, an era when wedge-shaped designs transformed the auto industry. Before this time, styling was more flowing, shaped by both the wind tunnel and the designer's eye. People drew cars to look like fish or birds, natural shapes and curves. But if a Lamborghini Miura is undeniably beautiful, an early Countach is shocking, breathtaking in another way entirely. The wedge era shattered norms, allowing for truly stunning road cars such as the Countach or Lancia Stratos.

Two Years Of the Nationales Automuseum – The Loh Collection: With Already More Than 170,000 Visitors!
Two years ago, the Nationales Automuseum opened its doors. Since then, the multi-award-winning collection in Dietzhölztal-Ewersbach in central Hesse has welcomed 170,000 visitors from all over the world. The museum has also established itself as a popular starting point, stopover, or destination for classic car rallies, orientation drives, club meetings, and as an event location. It has also become an economic factor: to date, around 80 jobs have been created in the museum and its immediate vicinity.
Tatra MTX Prototype Now on Display at Automobile Museum Topacz
One of the four Tatra MTX V8 prototype cars is on display for a limited time at Automobile Museum Topacz. Designed by Czech automobile designer Václav Král and produced by MTX in cooperation with Tatra. the Tatra MTX was the fastest Czech car of the early ninties. It has a Tatra 3.9-litre V8 engine with 225 kW (302 hp) at 6,500 rpm, it has scissor doors opening vertically and pop-up headlamps.
1948 Citroën Type 23 Joins the Colletion of L’Aventure Citroën
This magnificent 1948 Citroën Type 23 light truck has joined other iconic models at L'Aventure Citroën. Nicknamed "U23" (U for utility), it is one of Citroën's longest-running vehicles, produced from 1935 to 1969, i.e. 34 years. A record of longevity, with few evolutions but still robust: hydraulic brakes, diesel engine and various body styles.
National Motor Museum Adds Austin 1800 “Land Crab” to “We Had One Of Those” Exhibition
A new addition to National Motor Museum's interactive "We Had One of Those" attraction is this 1960s Austin 1800. The Austin 1800 was developed at BMC as a larger follow-up to the successful Mini and Austin 1100 under the ADO17 codename, ADO being an abbreviation for Austin Drawing Office. Informally, because of the car's exceptional width and overall appearance, these cars became widely known under the nickname "land crab".

1988 IMESA Donated to MAHI
A 1988 IMESA has been donated to MAHI Museo de automoción e historia (Automotive and History Museum) by Manuel Ángel Suárez Parrondo, representing Desguaces Horreo. This valuable contribution enriches the museum's collection and helps preserve local automotive history. This donation is very important to the museum, as the IMESA factory was once located 50 metres from where the museum is currently located.
The Revs Institute Is Temporarily Closed Until November
Building renovation works at The Revs In Florida forced the museum to close its doors until 8 November.
Automobile Museum of Iran Launches Special Detailing Workshop
The Automobile Museum of Iran will host its first workshop on professional car detailing and preservation starting August 24. The workshop, organized by the museum’s Classic Car Restoration College, will focus on detailing, a specialized cleaning method important for maintaining both regular and historical vehicles. According to the public relations office of the Defeine Museum Group, the workshop will be conducted under the supervision of the International Council of Museums and the Automobile Museum of Iran.
Musée Automobile de Vernon Collection To Be Auctioned in September
Following the daath of Jean-Pierre Nylin in March this year, his collection of about 50 classic cars will be auctioned off by Artcurial in September. Highlights include a 1921 Delahaye Type 87 Torpedo (est. €6,000-10,000), a 1958 Facel Vega HK 500 (est. €80,000-120,000), a 1963 Maserati 3500 GT Sebring (est. €70,000-90,000), a 1963 Porsche 356 B Cabriolet (est. €80,000-120,000), a 1971 Aston Martin DBS (est. €40,000-60,000) and a 1997 Chrysler Viper GTS (est. €40,000-60,000).
