Louwman Museum Unveils Spectacular 1921 Leyat Hélica
The Louwman Museum welcomes one of the most unusual vehicles in automotive history: the 1921 Leyat Hélica 2H Conduite Intérieure. This propeller-driven car, designed by French aircraft builder Marcel Leyat, shows how advanced mobility already was more than a century ago. The Leyat Hélica at the museum carries chassis number 004 and was originally built and used by Marcel Leyat as a development vehicle. He soon sold the car to the Peugeot family. Only in 2025 did the family of the first owner decide to part with it.

Open Thursday’s 10 AM - 8 PM, Friday’s and Saturday’s 10 AM to 5 PM, and Sunday’s 1 PM to 5 PM.
The US Army Fire Departments in Bavaria – Special Exhibition at the Bavarian Fire Brigade Museum in Waldkraiburg
US military fire departments have been in Germany for 80 years. After the end of World War II, the occupying powers established their own fire departments to protect their properties such as barracks, military training areas and air bases. One of around 40 Amertek L 2500s used by the US Army in Bavaria is on display in the museum alongside a Seagrave pumper. 30 display boards present the tasks, structure, history and vehicle development of the US Army fire brigades. Equipment and awards are displayed in showcases. The special exhibition runs until early December 2025.

Mustang GT Supercar Now on Display at National Motor Racing Museum
The first Gen 3 Supercar to be on display at the National Motor Racing Museum, this Mustang GT was driven by Will Davison in the early rounds of the 2025 Supercars Championship before being replaced by a brand new chassis. Will scored a podium finish at Taupo in this car, and it will be on display for the next three weeks, in the lead up to the Repco Bathurst 1000.
300-mph Pontiac Firebird Donated to Museum of American Speed
Kugel Komponents has recently donated a 1992 Pontiac Firebird to the Museum of American Speed. The Kugel & LeFevers Firebird was the first stock-bodied passenger vehicle to exceed the 300-mph land speed barrier! We are very excited to be able to tell this story at the museum!
Nostalgia Street Rods Adds Cool Mini Bikes to Its Collection
A little while back, Nostalgia Street Rods added a bunch of mini bikes to its collection. A lot of us as kids had these to travel around on. Over the years they kind of disappeared from newer generations of kids. the museum was able to find these recently and thought it would be cool to add to the collection. These are featured in the Truck Museum.
