Audrain Automobile Museum Opens New Exhibit: Super to Hyper Cars, Then & Now

The Tampa Bay Automobile Museum Presents: “The Wankler Rotary Engine”
On January 10, 2026 the Tampa Bay Automobile Museum launched its newest exhibit, The Wankel Rotary Engine: Innovation That Never Went Mainstream. The exhibit showcases a remarkable lineup of rotary-powered vehicles, including the NSU Spider, NSU Ro80, Mazda Cosmo Series II, Citroën GS Birotor, and two motorcycles, the Norton Commander and the Hercules W2000. These rare machines highlight both the promise and the challenges of one of automotive history’s most daring inventions.
“Relief Cars” Special Exhibition Is Now Open At Toyota Automobile Museum
“Relief cars” that transport relief pitchers from the bullpen to the mound at baseball stadiums is the subject of the latest special exhibition at the Toyota Automobile Museum. There are relief cars which are currently being used at Hanshin Koshien Stadium as well as those used during the Tokyo 2020 Games. Both are based on Toyota vehicles, and panels introduce the dedication and development stories of the people involved in creating them.

Nebraska-based American Automobile Experience has just announced that it has reached its goal of being open 7-days a week starting Monday, January 19, 2026.
Rolls-Royce Phantom VI Now on Display at NAMT
This elegant Rolls-Royce Phantom VI is now on display at the National Automobile Museum of Tasmania. The Phantom VI was produced from 1968 to 1990, a total of 374 being produced. The example on display was delivered new to the government of New South Wales, for use by the governor at the time, Sir Roden Cutler. It features coachwork by Mulliner Park-Ward, with notable inclusions such as a glass partition, an intercom system and even a cocktail bar.
Restoration of LaitseRallyPark’s ZIS-110 Limousine Underway
Restoration work has begun on LaitseRallyPark's ZIS-110 limousine. The ZIS-110 was produced between 1946 and 1958 in about 2,000 units. The Soviet limousine is powered by a 6-liter straight 8-cylinder engine, producing 140 hp. The LaitseRallyPark's collection of 70 cars in Rallipargi can be visited every Saturdays between 12:00 to 16:00.
Monaco Donates Mercedes 300 GD CCFL to Remise 01
For the third time in 10 years, the Principality of Monaco has donated a vehicle to the "La Remise 01" association, which manages the Firefighters Museum in Gex. The Mercedes-Benz 300 GD CCFL (Forest Fire Fighting Vehicle) was commissioned in 1987 by Colonel Bersihiant of the Monaco Fire Brigade. It was used for initial response to urban fires, in the Principality's hard-to-reach alleyways, and also for initial brush fires.
Motoring Museum Wena Starts Restoration of Bałtyk Bus
Motoring Museum Wena has commenced restoration of the Bałtyk bus it rescued last August. The only surviving example of the Bałtyk bus, manufactured in Koszalin between 1957 to 1963, was found in a forest in Greater Poland. For decades, it was believed that all buses of this type (150 in total) had been scrapped. Its renovation will be a huge challenge and experience for the museum.
2024 Caterham Project V Arrives at the Petersen Automotive Museum
This 2024 Caterham Project V arrived earlier this week at the Petersen Automotive Museum as the latest addition to the museum's “Alternating Currents” Exhibit. Project V was unveiled globally by Caterham at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in July 2023. The vehicle, which is still in its prototype stage, carries forward the key components of Caterham’s DNA - lightweight, simple and fun to drive.
The Elvis Cadillac Guitar Car Is Restored and in a Collection Fit for a King
A Cadillac-based guitar shaped custom car built for Elvis Presley by Jay Ohrberg's Hollywood Cars in 1977 has returned to America last year. It was bought by Michael Dezer, owner of Orlando Auto Museum. Following a three-months-long restoration the car is now being displayed in the Museum.
Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum Selects Michael Good as new president
The Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum has announced that its Board of Directors unanimously selected Michael Good as the new president of the Museum. Good will officially begin his duties on Feb. 2. Good comes to the Museum from Performance Racing Industry (PRI), where he has served as president since 2024
New Cooperation Between ASI And Centro Storico Fiat
There is a new agreement between ASI, the main Italian body for classic cars, and Mauto - the National Automobile Museum. It provides special conditions reserved for Federated Clubs and Members who want to discover Centro Storico Fiat in Turin. This is an exhibition center of excellence for the city, which has been under the direction of Mauto since December 2024.
