The motorsport journey of Volvo is a compelling story of engineering excellence, Scandinavian resilience, and racing spirit. From the rally stages of the 1960s to the touring car circuits of the 1990s and beyond, Volvo has repeatedly challenged conventions.
New Temporary Exhibit, ‘Harvest to Highway’ at Savoy Automobile Museum
Savoy Automobile Museum has announced the opening of its new temporary exhibit, 'Harvest to Highway'. This unique exhibit will spotlight manufacturers that built both vehicles and tractors, showcasing the innovative spirit that bridged the gap between farmland and roadway. Crossover between the tractor and automobile industries was fairly common many years ago, offering an easy opportunity for manufacturers to cross-market their brand to a buyers.
“Rennsport: Porsche’s Transition From Race to Road” Is the Latest Exhibition By Audrain Automobile Museum
The Audrain Automobile Museum is set to reveal its 38th exhibit entitled “Rennsport: Porsche’s Transition From Race to Road,” showcasing the marque’s integration of race-proven technology into its road cars. The exhibit is slated to debut on Saturday, July 19, and will be available for viewing until Nov. 9, 2025. The “Rennsport” exhibit will provide visitors with the opportunity to explore the evolution of Porsche vehicles, highlighting the transition of its racing technology into its iconic road cars.
Upcoming Event At Wheels of History Museum Dedicated to GAZ-21 ‘Volga’ Cars
On July 19-20, a special event dedicated to the GAZ-21 'Volga' will be held at the Wheels of History museum. This summer marks 55 years since the end of production of this iconic model (July 15, 1970). This model has become a true symbol of its time. For some, it was their first car. For some, it was their first trip in the back seat. The museum presents a wide range of the GAZ-21, including rare versions. The event was created exclusively with respect for automotive culture, without any ideological overtones.

Peter Armstrong Apponted As The New CEO Of The British Motor Museum
The British Motor Museum is delighted to announce that Peter Armstrong has been appointed Chief Executive Officer from 1 September following the retirement of Jeff Coope. Jeff retired from the Museum in March after 23 years of dedicated service. Originally from the UK, Peter has been living and working in the USA for the last ten years and joins the Museum from the Mystic Seaport Museum in Connecticut, USA, where he has worked as President & CEO for the last 5 years.

1918 Chevrolet D-Series V-8 Touring on Display at Museum of Automobiles – Petit Jean
New to the floor at Museum of Automobiles - Petit Jean is this 1918 V-8 Chevrolet Model D5 Touring. This vehicle is very rare, with only 20 known to still exist today. The Model D features a 288 cubic inch overhead valve V-8, 55 horsepower, 3-speed manual transmission, 20-gallon fuel tank and mahogany trim. This vehicle on loan to the Museum of Automobiles from Melvin Ivy.
1929 Scott Flying Squirrel Enriches Collection of St. Charles Motorcycle Museum
New on display at St. Charles Motorcycle Museum & Art Gallery is this beautiful 1929 Scott Flying Squirrel. In the early twenties the type name “ Squirrel” appeared for a new sports model which gained great popularity for its speed and lightness. For the 1926 season the Flying Squirrel was introduced; its specifications included full mechanical oiling, enlarged exhaust ports with polished passages and an improved water-cooled cylinder head that gave better plug cooling.
Martin Auto Museum Adds 1963 Corvette to Its Collection
Martin Auto Museum & Event Center has recently added a 1963 Corvette to its collection. The vehicle will be on display soon. For the 1963 model year, 21,513 units of the Corvette would be built, which was up 50 percent from the record-setting 1962 version. All 1963 cars had 327cid engines, which made 250 hp standard, with optional variants that made 300 hp, 340 hp and 360 hp.

The exceptionally rare 1943 German Second World War armoured vehicle, the Hanomag Sd.Kfz. 251 Ausf. D, has just joined the permanent collection of the Museu do Caramulo, strengthening its ever-growing section dedicated to the conflict that changed the course of history. This ongoing expansion is part of the Museum’s aim to create an unprecedented immersive exhibition in Portugal.
