“Porsche Heritage Moments” Brings Together Five Variants of the 935 for the First Time
The homologation of the Porsche 935 exactly 50 years ago marks the moment when an idea became a fully-fledged racing machine. For the first time, Porsche brings together five key evolutionary stages of the 935: the original homologated 1976 model, the further-developed 935/77, the radical 935/78 “Moby Dick,” the compact 935 “Baby,” and an internal development prototype that was later used in a record attempt in cycling. These five cars demonstrate just how rapidly the concept evolved from year to year.

Neil Armstrong’s 1967 Sting Ray Now on Display at the National Corvette Museum

For about $1 a year, astronauts could drive America’s Sports Car, making Corvettes a common sight at Cape Kennedy. Great British Car Journey Presents Two Horstman Cars from the 1920s
Great British Car Journey is delighted to announce that not one, but two Horstman cars from 1920s are now part of its collection. The first, on loan for the past eighteen months, is the sole surviving Super Sports model, believed to be one of at least twelve built between 1921 and 1925. Powered by a Coventry Simplex engine, it was laid up after heavy competition use before being restored in the 1960s. The second, built in 1924, spent decades in New Zealand before being repatriated in 2011 by the granddaughter of Horstman partner John Rooke. Remarkably, just three days after it was shipped, the Christchurch earthquake destroyed the garage it had been stored in.
Historic Attractions Adds 1987 Ice Princess XF58 to Its Collection
Historic Attractions has just added the Ice Princess XF58 to its collection. Built in 1987 by Richard Fletcher, this car looks like a spaceship from an old sci-fi movie. It uses the nose of a 1950 Studebaker but turns it into something totally wild. It is 20 feet long and has six wheels - with four of them right in the front! With its giant tailfins and two glass bubble roofs, it is unlike anything else in the museum.

The engine is an air-cooled 498 cc (30.4 cu in) double overhead cam (DOHC) vertical parallel twin with 180° crankshaft angle, and torsion bar valve springs.
