Museum of Engines And Mechanisms

The Museum, which is part of the Museum System of the University of Palermo, has important collections of engines, mechanisms and one of the five remaining aircraft FIAT G.59. For the importance of its heritage it has been awarded, the first in Italy, as ASME Landmark. The oldest pieces date from the half of the nineteenth century and several pieces have been employed for research and didactic purpose. Nowadays, outdated by the new technologies, they still represent an invaluable heritage describing the development of machines in various fields of use, from stationary to aircraft engines.
