Museum Information
DESCRIPTION
ร SSA industrial and car museum was formed in 1987, when production at ร SSA ceased, and operations were moved from the site.
The purpose of the formation was to save an era of industrial history. The initiative for this was taken by ร tvid’s Hembygdsfรถrening and former workers at ร SSA. The museum is run by non-profit forces.
The ร SSA Museum consists of two departments:
Workshop
Halva verkstaden is ร
SSA’s original workshop, where the work continued until its closure in 1987. Here, it still looks like the workshop is only closed for the day, and the workers will return at any time.
The other half has been filled with machines that were later moved there. From, among other things, FACIT.
Exhibition halls
In the exhibition halls, objects related to industry in ร tvidaberg are shown as:
- cars, including the ร tvidabergsbilen from 1911
- ร tvidaberg inventions and special technology
- signal material
- track switches
- writing and calculating machines (predominantly FACIT)
- ร tvidaberg School Museum
- Old computer games and drones
- Blue Train
