Kokkolan palomuseo

The Kokkola fire museum mainly presents fire equipment used in Kokkola and the former municipality of Kaarlela, which was annexed to the city in 1977.

The oldest objects in the museum are male power syringes and fire extinguishing equipment belonging to the properties of the wooden house town. There are many kinds of fire brigade equipment on display, from respirators to media, fire extinguishing suits and uniforms. From the younger end, the equipment is up to the 1990s.

The museum is divided into two spaces. The exhibition, built in the museum room on the lower floor of the fire station, has older and smaller artefacts and in the part of the larger and younger equipment assembled in the attic of the fire station. In addition, there are two restored museum fire trucks in the fire station.
