DESCRIPTION

The MaΕ‚opolska Fire Museum was established on 4 May 1953 on the initiative of the pharmacist kpt. Zbigniew Konrad GΔ™sikowski. For over 70 years, the MaΕ‚opolska Fire Museum in Alwernia was under the care of dedicated volunteers of the Fire Brigade in Alwernia. The Voluntary Fire Brigade not only served as a fire, but also a guardian of cultural heritage. For decades, the social work of the members of the guards, the Museum has gathered more than 4,000 exhibits. The museum collection consists of: fire-fighting horse-drawn and fire cars, a collection of medals, decorations, commemorative plaques and photographs, as well as thematically related to the activities of the fire brigade of philumenistic and philatelic collections, and numerous documents and publications. The most valuable part of the collection is the collection of old fire trucks on a European scale.
