Museum Information
DESCRIPTION
This car collection was established in 1956 by Emilio Storchi Fermi and Giulio Campari, who transferred the collection of Domenico Gentili from Bologna to San Martino in Rio. Since 1965, the entire collection has been housed in the current warehouse, which was expanded in 1994. There are forty cars, eight motorcycles, around a hundred bicycles, and several wagons displayed. Exciting cars include a 1910 Zedel Landaulet, once owned by Queen Margherita of Savoy of Italy; a 1935 Fiat NSU Ardita, used by German General Kesserling in the African campaign; a 1919 Fiat 505; a 1916 Ford T; and a 1920 Itala 50. Among the motorcycles, a 1918 Indian Sidecar is featured, the only example existing in Italy.
