DESCRIPTION
This tour through 40 years of divided German automotive history, from 1949 to 1989, documents a turbulent era. It testifies to the ingenuity of the engineers who achieved new things despite extreme shortages. In this unique East-West comparison, over 80 cars and their distinctive features are described. The VIP among these cars is undoubtedly the Volvo 264 TE, the official state car of the GDR.
