The Vatican Museums Celebrate Almost a Century of Popemobiles with New Exhibit
A new Vatican exhibit celebrates nearly 100 years of one of the world’s most recognizable cars: the popemobile. From brocade seats to electric motors, the eight historic vehicles on display trace the history of how papal transportation went from stately limousines to more practical cars designed to give crowds a view of the pope. “Over the decades, the popemobile has evolved from a means of transportation into an instrument of encounter, enabling the pontiff to draw closer to the faithful during pastoral visits and public celebrations,” Pope Leo XIV told organizers of the exhibit during a private meeting at the Vatican on October 28.

America's Transportation Experience / AACA Museum will open a new exhibit "Pony Car Rebellion: 1964-1975" on November 14. Ferrari 360 Arrives at Lions Automobilia Foundation
A Ferrari 360 has joined the collection of the Lions Automobilia Foundation Museum. The 360 Modena represented a stylistic break with the angular, retractable-headlamp aesthetic of Ferrari's previous mid-engined V-8 berlinettas. Designed by Serbian designer Goran Popovic under the direction of Lorenzo Ramaciotti, head of Pininfarina's design studio, the team produced a curvaceous, aerodynamically efficient body with a long wheelbase and wide tracks. The resulting design is devoid of a traditional "eggcrate" grille; instead two separate intakes at each corner feed radiators positioned low in the nose and allow the centre section to channel airflow under the flat underbody. Twin rear diffusers generate ground effect and obviate the need for a rear spoiler.
