Kielce History Museum Opens New Exhibit
The year is 1871. There are no cars on the streets of Kielce yet, no gas stations, and no driver's licenses. Yet, someone is already thinking ahead. A local watchmaker and inventor, Brzechfa (Brzechwa), constructs a model he calls a "four-wheeled vortex car." Despite using the term "car," the vehicle was powered by human muscles. However, it was one of the first attempts to implement an idea that would change the world. This is where the story of Kielce's motoring begins. The Kielce History Museum invites you for an exhibition that takes you through over a hundred years of change – from dreams and experiments, through the first automobiles appearing on the city's streets, to the development of industry and the automotive passions of its residents.

The Porsche 911 was born in 1963 and initially designated the 901, however Peugeot had already reserved three-digit model numbers with a zero in the middle, leading to the change to 911. By 2026, eight generations of the 911 had been produced through continuous evolution. The car on display offers a glimpse across two generations simultaneously. In 2019, a Sydney collector sourced a concours-winning 1988 Carrera Sport Coupe from the United Kingdom, fitted with a 3.2-litre engine and 5-speed G50 gearbox, as the basis for a backdate project.
