Celebrate America's 250th birthday with America On Wheels museum with their new exhibit: 'On the Road to Freedom: American Independence & Innovation', featuring American independent automobile marques.

The Saratoga Automobile Museum will present its latest exhibition, “Mercedes-Benz 1886–2026,” beginning May 4. The showcase will celebrate 140 years of innovation and design, tracing the evolution of one of the most influential names in automotive history. Highlights include the 1886 Benz Patent-Motorwagen, the first practical automobile; the 1938 540K; the 1953 300S Cabriolet; and the iconic 1955 300SL Gullwing. Performance heritage is represented by the 190E 2.5-16 Evolution II, while artistic perspectives include a 1952 220A painted by Hiro Yamagata, and new works by artist Lyn Hiner created for the exhibition.

Latvia's Riga Motor Museum celebrated its 37th birthday on April 22. Over the past 37 years, the museum has become one of the most important technical heritage centres in the Baltics, preserving and telling stories about the development of cars, motorcycles and engineering. It is not only a collection of unique vehicles, but also a place where history, design and technology meet.

The Heart of Route 66 Auto Museum has broken ground on an expansion project of more than $1 million. A decade after the original museum opened, the iconic Route 66 attraction is already undergoing the dirt work for a growth of about 5,000-square-feet, with an additional 2,000-square-feet will be devoted to a plaza near the large gas pump. The Oklahoma Department of Commerce earmarked $1,080,000 for the expansion project as part of its Route 66 Revitalization Grant Program. The opening date for the expansion is expected in fall 2026.

The Dover Transport Museum is pleased to announce that the National Collection of Ashford made Norman Motorcycles is now available for visitors to view. This is the largest collection of Norman motorcycles anywhere in the world and are featured in the museum's purpose built exhibition area. The museum is honoured to host the collection of iconic, locally made machines. Do come along and enjoy this fascinating new exhibit.

As a special exhibit for a limited time only, the Toyota Automobile Museum will display the first car that Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi acquired with funds she saved while working in her hometown of Nara, and which she drove for 22 years. This car, which has been cherished for so long, has been restored by Nara Toyota with the aim of passing on technical skills and fostering talent. The third generation Supra will be on display at the museum between April 23 and May 24.

A new car has been added to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum’s collection. See @alexpalou’s 2025 DHL @chipganassiracing car, in which he won last year’s Indianapolis 500, on display starting from April 22. The car was unveiled during the “An Evening with Alex Palou” speaker series event.

This 1974 Leyland P76 has just arrived in the main exhibition room of the National Automobile Museum of Tasmania. Released in 1973 and packed with advanced features for its time, the Leyland P76 should have taken the Aussie car market by storm. it was intended to provide the company with a genuine rival to large local models like the Ford Falcon, the Holden Kingswood, and the Chrysler Valiant.

But one model stands alone as both an anomaly and a cornerstone of Corvette history: the one and only 1983 Corvette. Now showcased in a newly enhanced exhibition in the Skydome at the National Corvette Museum, this singular vehicle represents a pivotal turning point in the evolution of America’s Sports Car.

New to The Wheatcroft Collection is this 1963 registered BMW Isetta 'Bubble Car'. An unusual purchase for the museum, but it bridges a gap in the Collection from the scooter line up to the micro-car. A space is already being prepared for it in the museum's Collection Hall.

The Kansas Motorcycle Museum now has Jay Kessler‘s 500 cc Yamaha race bike, the Lightning Bug, on display. Kessler did some pro racing back in the day.

After a lot of hard work in a 21 year restoration, the 1986 Renault/Alexander Dodge S56 D428ASF Eastern Scottish City Spinter is almost ready for its public debut later this year. It came out for a wee run at the Scottish Vintage Bus Museum Lathalmond Dunfermline on April 19.

A new car museum is being organised in  Foz Do Iguaçu. Its collection will feature approximately 150 vehicles. The Foz Cars Museum already has its headquarters ready and is in the process of organizing its collection, which will feature approximately 150 vehicles. The opening date has not been announced yet.
