New Automobile Museum Set To Be Developed in Gruyère
Pierre-Olivier Chave, founder of PX Group in La Chaux-de-Fonds, will create an automobile museum in Broc, next to the Cailler Museum, in the Gruyère region's "golden triangle" of tourism. More than just a car show, the museum will be designed to illustrate the adventure of mobility and innovation that was the first automobile at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.
Trafalgar Holden Museum Celebrates 75th Anniversary of the Holden FX
The Trafalgar Holden Museum is celebrating the 75th anniversary of the launch of Holden’s first utility – the iconic FX ute. Released in January 1951, three years after the sedan, its success was immediate. With its simple design, rugged reliability and ease of repair, it quickly became a favourite among farmers and tradies alike. The FX proved to be the perfect combination of family transport and hardworking vehicle, establishing the ute as a core part of Australian automotive culture.
‘Window To Youth’ Special Exhibition Opens At “Time Machines” Museum in Dnipro
In order to properly celebrate Valentine's Day "Time Machines" Museum offers visitors a chance to go back in time 40-50 years and feel like they are back in the offices of RATS, the civil registry office responsible for legally registering marriages. A stained glass window from an office, called "Youth-Maturity-Old Age" has been placed in the museum, which together a 1961 GAZ 13 Tschaika and a 1967 Ford P7 forms a scene.
Visitors can make photos in front of the stained glass window and they can also bring their photos from the wedding ceremony, which will be placed in the museum for the duration of the exhibition until 27 February
Heirloom 1927 Ford Model T Found on an Island After 36 Years Becomes Museum Exhibit
This 1927 four-door Ford Model T Tourer was recently discovered in Sweden. The Model T was found on an island outside Härnösand, in south-east Sweden, where it's been sitting in a barn for 36 years. The vehicle was owned by the same family since new, which is downright amazing for a classic that's a whopping 99 years old as of 2026. The Model T now runs and drives under its own power, but it will not spend much time on the road. It was parked in a car museum alongside other iconic classics. 1937 Jawa Special 175cc Enriches the Collestion of St. Charles Motorcycle Museum
St. Charles Motorcycle Museum & Art Gallery’s latest addition is this beautiful 1937 Jawa Special 175cc 2-stroke single-cylinder 3-speed. Previously owned by George Janecek, a relative of Jawa motorcycle founder František Janeček. The Jawa Special will be on display soon.
1934 Wikov Truck Joins Brno Technical Museum’s Collection
A real gem has been added to the collection of the Brno Technical Museum – a truck manufactured in 1934 by the Prostějov-based company Wikov. This particular 2.5-ton truck was used by butchers in the past and the public will be able to see it at museum events organized this year.
MIT Krakow Adds Škoda 706 RT to Its Collection
A Škoda 706 RT has just joined Krakow-based Museum of Engineering and Technology's collection – and not just any old one, either – a tower car for the construction and maintenance of overhead lines. The Škoda 706 is a true legend. The first version hit the road in 1939, and subsequent generations were produced for a total of 48 years. Approx. 240,000 units were built, shipped to 57 countries. Robust, reliable, and hard-working.
Motoring Museum Wena Donates Fiat 126p to School in Cieszyn
Motoring Museum Wena has recently donated another Fiat 126p to a school in Cieszyn. This Fiat hasn't been driven for the past 20 years. Now, its second life will begin – at the school's workshop. During classes, students will disassemble and gradually restore it to working order. This is hands-on automotive learning using a real vehicle and real components. The m,useum is pleased to support the technical education and development of future mechanics.
Marazzato Foundation Rescues 1986 Iveco 190-25
The latest addition to the Marazzato Foundation is a 1986 Iveco 190-25, recently recovered by the Gruppo Torinese Trasporti. The vehicle was used to recover city buses for the Turin tram network and later for internal vehicle movement. The Foundation decided to rescue it, saving it from the crusher, and today it joins the collection, alongside many other Ivecos that have shaped the history of Italian transportation.
1975 Ford XB Falcon 500 Now on Display at NAMT
This exceptional 1975 Ford XB Falcon 500 – John Goss Special has just arrived at National Automobile Museum of Tasmania’s "Hall of Muscle". Up to 700 John Goss Falcons were sold in 1975, significantly more than GT sales in both body styles for that year (123 GT Hardtops). The John Goss Special was distinguished by its white paint with contrasting blue or green bonnet with reflective orange stripes on the guards, rear panel and boot lip. Despite the smaller capacity, its Cleveland 302 still delivered strong V8 performance.
Zylinderhaus Museum Welcomes A New Classic
The collection of the German Zylinderhaus museum has been enriched with the addition of a 1991 Audi 100 S4 20V Turbo.
The Audi S4 is the most powerful version of the Audi 100 C4 series and was launched in 1991 – "equipped with the legendary 5-cylinder 20V turbo engine, whose sound and driving experience still give you goosebumps today". With only around 16,000 units built, available as a sedan or Avant, the Audi S4 is a true collector's item and an important part of Audi's history.
The National Automobile Museum Selects Bonhams|Cars for the Deaccession of Rare, Historically Significant Motorcars
Bonhams|Cars has announced the sale of 110 significant motorcars at the National Automobile Museum in Reno, Nevada, on June 13.
Over 80 lots are to be offered from The Harrah Collection with many vehicles being sole survivors or examples of limited production or one-off design concepts that never progressed to production. The sale also includes 30 motorcars from The Minden Automobile Museum in Minden, Nevada. All lots will be offered without reserve.
Chris Brewer Appointed Executive Director of Lane Motor Museum
Lane Motor Museum announced that Chris Brewer has been appointed as Executive Director of the Museum. Jeff Lane will maintain his position as president of the Museum's board of directors.
According to his website Chris "is a regular contributor to numerous automotive magazines and founder of Jacksonville (First Coast) Car Culture, an automotive lifestyle brand". He's also been involved with the Amelia Concours d'Elegance and Hagerty as well.
