Special Exhibition: “100 Years Of The Horch 8: In The Footsteps of a Myth” Opens At The August Horch Museum
2026 marks the 100th anniversary of the presentation of the first mass-produced German car with an 8-cylinder engine at the Berlin Motor Show. The Type 303 and 304 were followed by a series of models until the end of the 1930s, which almost became legendary under the ‘Horch 8’ brand due to their quality, reliability and elegance. To mark this occasion, the August Horch Museum is dedicating its special exhibition to this model series with 13 cars on display.
The exhibition runs until January, 2027
New Temporary Exhibit Opening at Savoy Automobile Museum
The Savoy Automobile Museum has announced the opening of its latest temporary exhibit, Corvette: The Early Years – C1 to C3, on view from February 3, 2026, through May 31, 2026. The Corvette is one of America’s most influential sports cars. This exhibit will feature some of the iconic early designs focusing on the C1-C3 years. Lancia 120 Years – Innovation Through Italian Design To Open At Autoworld Museum
Beginning on 27 February Autoworld will celebrate 120 years of innovation and elegance with Lancia, a legendary Italian brand that has profoundly influenced automotive history. Since its founding in 1906, Lancia has stood out for its forward-thinking vision and technical daring, with groundbreaking innovations ahead of their time. In this exhibition, you can discover iconic models such as the Lambda, a true revolution in car body design, and the Aurelia, the world’s first production car with a V-engine. Sporty legends like the Stratos and the Delta showcase Lancia’s impact and success in motorsport. The exhibition will run until 19 April
Harley-Davidson Museum Opens ’Stories in the Vault’ on February 20
Stories in the Vault opens Harley-Davidson Museum’s archives only on rare occasions. On February 20 at 1:30 p.m., a century-old Harley-Davidson motorcycle comes out of storage for a live, in-person demonstration at museum. Led by an Archives Team Lead, this program steps into the early 1920s and explores what it took to own, maintain, and ride an authentic Harley-Davidson J Model. This experience is not part of the regular Museum schedule and is offered only when conditions allow.
Squadra Abarth & Rally Collections Displas Icons From Belgian And Italian Motorcycle History At “Art on Wheels” Exhibition
Between 6 February and 26 April, 2026 Squadra Abarth & Rally Collection is holding its first thematic exhibition. Titled, Art on Wheels, it takes the public on a fascinating journey through the world of motorcycles, with a special focus on Italy and Belgium—two countries with rich, yet very different, motorcycling traditions. More than 70 carefully selected motorcycles and scooters are on display, and special attention has been given to two important anniversaries: 80 years of Vespa and 100 years of Ducati.
“20626” – Mazda626 Special Exhibition Starts In April 2026 At Mazda Classic
At the end of March 2026, renovations will begin at the Mazda Classic – Frey Automobile Museum for the new special exhibition “20626.” The title alludes to the legendary Mazda626 mid-size car series and the current exhibition year, 2026 – a journey through more than two decades of Mazda history.
"20626" will be on display from the beginning of April 2026, featuring various models from the mid-range series, as part of the permanent exhibition at the Mazda Classic – Automobile Museum Frey.
Exclusive Preview Held of Milestones Museum in Beaux-Songes
Terry Smith, a British businessman who's been living in Mauritius is putting the finishing touches on its Milestones Museum, which will be opened towards the end of 2026. It will feature over 200 iconic vehicles, such as an AC Cobra, a Ferrari F40, an original Ford GT40 and a Tucker among others on a space of 14,000 sqm.
Qatar Auto Museum Debuts New Icons at Mawater Gallery
Qatar Auto Museum (QAM) has refreshed its 'A Sneak Peek at Qatar Auto Museum' exhibition at the National Museum of Qatar (NMoQ). Running from February 2, 2026 to February 2, 2027, the updated display introduces a new selection of rare automotive masterpieces to the Mawater Gallery.
The Mawater Gallery at the National Museum of Qatar serves as a precursor to the permanent Qatar Auto Museum, offering a glimpse into the scale and ambition of the future institution, which will explore the evolution of the automobile and its impact on Qatari culture.
Heart of Route 66 Auto Museum Receives Grant to Expand
The Heart of Route 66 Auto Museum has been awarded a more than $1 million grant for its expansion project that will grow the facility. The Oklahoma Department of Commerce earmarked $1,080,000 for the expansion project as part of its Route 66 Revitalization Grant Program. A groundbreaking ceremony will take place in the spring and an opening date is expected in fall 2026.
The 5,000-square-foot expansion of the Heart of Route 66 Auto Museum and 2,000 square-foot plaza will allow the museum to showcase even more of the historic legacy of Route 66, featuring vintage vehicles and Mother Road artifacts, as well as provide a new venue for hosting events.

Simeone Museum Brings 12 Hours of Sebring to Philadelphia for America’s 250th Anniversary
On Saturday, March 21, 2026, the Simeone Foundation Automotive Museum will host "Once Around the Clock: The Simeone 12 Hours of Sebring," a 12-hour celebration of American endurance racing that runs simultaneously with the actual 12 Hours of Sebring in Florida.
"Since 1950, Sebring has been America's proving ground," said Kevin Kelly, Executive Director of the Simeone Foundation Automotive Museum. "It's where American builders, drivers, and engineers proved they could compete with the world's best. As we mark America's 250th anniversary, this event honors that spirit of competition and innovation."

Second Record in a Row: The Mercedes-Benz Museum Attracted Almost 950,000 Visitors in 2025
The Mercedes-Benz Museum ended the year 2025 with its second record in a row: it welcomed a total of 945,716 visitors – more than ever before in a single year. Compared to the previous peak year of 2024, this represents an increase of around 63,000 or more than 7 per cent (2024: 882,422). The proportion of international visitors also increased further to 55 per cent, almost reaching the pre-pandemic level.
Ferrari F40 And F50 Arrive At Museu CARDE
Museu CARDE, located in the Brazilian city of Campos do Jordão boasts approximately 500 legendary automobiles in its collection. It is about to receive two new rare gems: the Ferrari F40 and F50. These iconic models from the Italian manufacturer will arrive on February 13th at the Design Hall, a section on the museum's first floor dedicated to the evolution of automotive design. These examples were highly anticipated by classic car enthusiasts.
Spa 003 Formula Brabham Now on Display at the National Motor Racing Museum
The National Motor Racing Museum has just welcomed its first new exhibit for 2026 with the arrival of the Spa 003 Formula Brabham driven by Mark Skaife to the 1991 and 1992 Australian Drivers’ Championship title. Run out of Gibson Motorsport, Skaife would win all but one round to secure his first Gold Star in 1991, and also pole position at the Bathurst 1000 in the team’s Nissan GT-R, also on display at the National Motor Racing Museum.
