Le Mans Museum to Transform Into M24 Motorsport Museum
The 24 Hours of Le Mans Museum will transform into an all-encompassing motorsport museum, named M24 Motorsport Museum, which is set to open on May 28. The project, which has been in the works since 2022 when L'Automobile Club de l'Ouest (ACO) and Richard Mille formed a dedicated company, MACO, which acquired the Le Mans Museum space that was built in 1961 and was most recently renovated in 1991. The expanded museum aims to become an “international benchmark for automotive heritage” according to a statement from the ACO.
A New Italian Car Exhibition Is Opening Up Dundee Museum Of Transport’s 2026 Season
Dundee Museum of Transport has unveiled its opening exhibition for 2026, with La Dolce Dundee: Speed, Style and Italian Spirit set to open this Sunday, February 1 and run through to April. La Dolce Dundee will showcase a range of iconic Italian vehicles, highlighting the flair and personality that have made Italy one of the most influential countries in automotive history. Visitors can expect to see everything from charming Fiat 500s to one of the most legendary rally cars ever built, the Lancia Stratos.
1967 Dodge Deora Now on Display at The Henry Ford Museum
The 1967 Dodge Deora is currently on display at Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation in partnership with the National Historic Vehicle Register, powered by the Hagerty Drivers Foundation. The Deora made its debut at the 1967 Detroit Autorama where it took the coveted Ridler Award. Dodge, impressed with the custom vehicle’s popularity, leased the Deora to use at auto shows as a promotional vehicle. The vehicle can be located near the museum’s “Driven to Win: Racing in America” exhibit.
1966 Tatra 603 Joins the Collection of Tatra Technical Museum
By adding a 1966 Tatra 603 to its current exhibition, the Tatra Technical Museum now showcases the iconic model’s all three versions, including the oldest three-headlight version, produced until 1963, the rarest four-headlight version – the so-called “šilhavka” from 1967 – and the most modern T2-603, model year 1968.
1954 Sunbeam Alpine Mk 1 Is Latest Addition to British Motor Museum’s Collection
Get to know British Motor Museum's latest addition to its collection, a 1954 Sunbeam Alpine Mk 1 Special. This car was bred for motorsport and the museum has picked out a few features to show you how. The purchase of this car was made possible by a generous donation from Mr Michael Hennell, in memory of his brother, Jon Francis Hennell of Coventry and Paterson, NSW Australia.
1983 TVR Tasmin Donated to British Transportation Museum
The newest addition to British Transportation Museum’s collection is this 1983 TVR Tasmin, funded by a donation by Scott Huey. No engine or transmission but excellent fiberglass body. Preliminary research indicates it might have had a Rover V8 of which the museum has one in storage. Very stylish car with great handling and fast.
Auto & Traktor Museum Bodensee Welcomes Oldsmobile Super 88 to Its Collection
This week, another gem has arrived at the Auto & Traktor Museum Bodensee, a third generation Oldsmobile Super 88. The 1958 model is best known in Oldsmobile as the year of the "Chrome Mobile" thanks to tremendous amount of chrome trim on the body.
1954 CJ-3B Willys Jeep Donated to Marconi Automotive Museum
On January 30, the Marconi Automotive Museum welcomed a special piece of automotive history to its collection, a beautifully preserved 1954 CJ-3B Willys Jeep. This remarkable vehicle was donated by its previous owner. Originally developed as a rugged military vehicle that served during World War II, Willys became a symbol of durability, innovation, and American ingenuity. By 1954, Willys vehicles were widely known for their simple engineering, unmatched reliability, and ability to perform both on and off the road. Post-war, they were broadly used for farms, job sites, or unpaved back roads across the country.
The Jeep Guy Museum Adds 1982 Jamboree 30th Anniversary CJ-7 to Its Collection
The Jeep Guy Museum added a very Special Jeep to the museum on January 26. It's a 1982 Jamboree 30th anniversary CJ-7. Around 500 were built and just over 100 are still in existence today making it the rarest CJ. They are numbered with a dash plaque and were the only CJs painted in Topaz Gold. It's an extremely clean, rust free survivor that the museum will be putting all back to stock.
New, 68-meter Exhibit at The Central Firefighting Museum
The Centralnego Muzeum Pożarnictwa (Central Firefighting Museum) in Mysłowice has received a Mercedes 3535 8×4 equipped with a Bronto Skylift F68 HLA hydraulic lift with a reach of 68 meters as a donation by the State Fire Service in Krakow. The vehicle, which had been in service with the Rescue and Firefighting Unit No. 3 in Krakow since 1994, was the tallest aerial lift in the Małopolska Voivodeship. It participated in numerous operations in Krakow and the region.
Restoration Race as Damage Discovered in World Land Speed Record Breaker Sunbeam 1000hp Second Engine
National Motor Museum engineers have discovered cracks in all four engine blocks, drop damage and camshafts glued by oil in the restoration of the second engine of World Land Speed Record breaker Sunbeam 1000hp.
The race is now on to complete the restoration in time for Sunbeam 1000hp to be shipped to the USA, ready to take centre stage at the Pebble Beach Concours d’ Elegance in California in August.
Eight Amcars Club Issues New Photobook
Eight Amcars Club in Sørum, Norway opened a history center in 2023 where they display their collection featuring cars from eight American brands (Nash, Hudson etc.) which fought against the Big Three. Now there is a book showing the collection in all of its glory.
Classic Trader To Auction The Collection of the Former Villach Vehicle Museum
Following the death of Rudolf Pirker, founder of the Villach Vehicle Museum the fate of the collection was in doubt. In March Classic Trader will offer 200 vehicles from the museum via online auction.
