The Sturgis Motorcycle Museum and Hall of Fame formally opened its doors on June 1, 2001, and has hosted hundreds of thousands of visitors from across the globe in just over 8 years. The museum dedicates itself to collecting, preserving, and interpreting the history of motorcycling, as its primary focus is to honor those men and machines who have made a positive and significant impact on the sport and lifestyle, and pay tribute to the heritage of the Sturgis Rally.
