Lincoln Motor Car Heritage Museum

Model A Ford Museum

The largest public museum dedicated to the Model A Ford, this 13,000-square-foot re-creation of a 1928 Ford dealership includes a service bay and gas pumps. You’ll also find rare examples of the famed car, which was produced from 1928 through 1931, including Thomas Edison’s Model A, a school bus, mail truck, and tow-truck.

The Franklin Automobile Collection

The Franklin Automobile Collection is the permanent home of The H. H. Franklin Club's collection of automobiles, display engines, and artifacts that span the four-decade history of the H.H. Franklin Company. The Syracuse, NY firm built America's most successful air-cooled automobile, with its first innovative air-cooled motorcar in 1902 and continued production until 1934.

Schildberg Car Collection

Dennis Schildberg, a local car collector, needed a location to house his extensive collection of antique cars. After remodeling an old Ford dealership building, he was able to house his cars and display them for the public to enjoy. He started collecting cars with his wife Marlene in the early 1960s, and since then they collected over 15 antique vehicles. All the vehicles are in running condition except a 1936 Chevy

Fayetteville Area Transportation and Local History Museum

Located in the beautifully restored 1890 Cape Fear and Yadkin Valley Railroad Depot, the museum offers two floors of engaging, artifact-filled exhibits. The rich history of our area is told from pre-history through the early 20th century. Favorite spots in the museum include the steamboat interactive and the recreated Station Agent’s Office. Exhibits are frequently rotated. Conveniently located next door to the museum, the annex continues Fayetteville’s story with additional displays.

Penrose Heritage Museum
