By the mid-1980s, the collection had reached a size that suggested a public exhibition. In 1990 the time had come: the Kirchlengern Fire Brigade Museum was opened by the sponsoring association that had been founded in the meantime. The move to a picturesque historic farm is planned for the near future. You can find all kinds of fire brigade exhibits in the museum.
The volunteer fire brigade was founded in Römhild as early as 1855. The first historical exhibition was organized in 1955 for the 100th anniversary. For various reasons, however, this collection fell apart again. After an exhibition to mark the 125th anniversary in 1980, the idea came up to preserve what had been collected in order to have a basis for future exhibitions. You can find all kinds of fire brigade exhibits in the museum.
Lüneburg fire brigade museum is located in the service building of the Lüneburg volunteer fire brigade and displays the history of the Lüneburg fire brigade from its founding in 1864 to the present day using many exhibits including vehicles and all kind of fire brigade department.
